1. Power Off and Disconnect:
- Turn off the DLP TV and disconnect all cables, including the power cord.
2. Secure Base & Stand:
- If the TV has a detachable base or stand, remove it carefully and pack it separately. Ensure any screws or small parts are secured to avoid loss.
3. Original Packaging:
- If you still have the original packaging, it's ideal for transporting the TV safely. If not, find a suitable carton box slightly larger than the TV.
4. Cushioning:
- Use bubble wrap or thick blankets to create a protective layer on the inside of the box. Ensure all sides are well-cushioned, especially corners and edges.
5. Place the TV:
- Carefully place the TV face down (screen facing the cushioning) in the carton box. Avoid touching the screen directly.
6. Additional Cushioning:
- Add more cushioning over and around the TV to prevent movement within the box. Fill any gaps.
7. Close and Label:
- Securely close the carton box and seal it with packing tape. Clearly label the box as "Fragile" or "DLP TV – Handle with Care."
8. Lifting Techniques:
- To lift the box, ensure there are enough people to comfortably hold and carry it without straining. Lift with your leg muscles and keep your back straight.
9. Secure in Vehicle:
- When transporting the TV in a vehicle, place the box upright, secured with seatbelts or ropes to prevent shifting during travel.
10. Opening and Setup:
- Upon reaching your destination, carefully open the box and ensure everything is intact. Set up the TV following the manufacturer's instructions.
Additional Tips:
- Do not stack anything on top of the DLP TV box during transport.
- Avoid carrying the TV by the screen area alone.
- Drive slowly and smoothly to prevent bumps that could damage the TV.
