How to Get Australian TV on Your Computer

Streaming shows over the Internet has become an increasingly popular way of watching television. People do not have to worry about missing a show live, and they can simply stream the show on demand whenever it is convenient. Although American television shows are more prevalent online versus those of other countries, there are certainly ways to watch Australian television on your computer.

      Visit abc.net.au to access the Australian broadcast network's website. This is an official site of ABC television.

      Click the video tab to browse available content. You can preview episodes, stream episode clips or download full episodes.

      Click the "download programs" link located on the lower right-hand side of the videos page. This will open up a list of shows that are available for download.

      Choose the show you are interested in watching from the list of available shows. There are currently 30 shows that have full episodes available to download.

      Click the "download episodes" link and choose a file format. You can either choose an mp4 file (iTunes compatible) or a WMV file (Windows compatible).

      Search for other websites that stream Australian television shows if the show you want is not listed on the ABC website (see Resources).
