The first thing you'll notice about the cars featured on Pimp My Ride is that they are severely damaged beyond any simple repair. Parts look as if they are about to fall off the car, pieces are missing, things don't function properly, and in most if not all cases, the cars are extremely filthy. Naturally your car will need to be in similar shape before you can even consider being on the show.
Record a video of your car, explaining to MTV exactly why it needs to be on the show. Pimp My Ride looks for cars that would need the most extreme makeovers, so think of the best ways to express how desperately your vehicle requires attention. Be sure to address every single problem in detail along with an explanation on the origin of each one. For instance, share how the car got a particular dent or why something no longer works. You'll notice on the show that the featured car owners always have several interesting anecdotes about the damages to their car.
Prepare a short biography about yourself explaining the importance of appearing on Pimp My Ride. Express how being chosen would impact your life. For some guests on the show, having their car "pimped" improves their careers, makes their lives more convenient and helps with certain goals. Refer to past episodes to think of a way that would make your story stand out from other entries.
