Information on Naruto Shippuden

Naruto Shippuden is an extension to the popular anime Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto and directed by Hayato Date. Since Naruto's first appearance, the anime has taken America and Japan by storm.
  1. Storyline

    • The story begins two and a half years after Naruto Uzumaki leaves his village to hone his ninja skills. When he returns home, he finds his friends have been promoted in his absence. Naruto struggles to catch up, knowing that the rogues of the Akatsuki Organization are still a threat.

    • Naruto Shippuden's predecessor, the Naruto series, is based off of young Naruto's earlier days. The anime chronicles the exploits of Naruto Uzumaki, a young man empowered with the spirit of the Nine-Tailed Fox, who is determined to be the next leader of Hidden Leaf Village, called The Hokage.

    TV Appearances

    • Naruto Shippuden originally aired on television on February 15, 2007. The episodes were produced by Studio Pierrot and TV Tokyo.

    Manga

    • The Naruto Shippuden manga series currently covers 46 volumes. Masashi Kishimoto originally designed Naruto in 1997, but his final revision did not publicly appear until 1999 in Weekly Shonen Jump.

    Style

    • Naruto Shippuden is an anime, or Japanese cartoon. The animation style derives directly from Japanese comic books called manga.
