Where Can You Watch Old Saturday Morning Cartoons?

Cartoons have changed a lot over the years. If you are looking for the older Saturday morning cartoons you grew up with, you may find it a daunting task. However, there are still ways to track down these classic shows.
  1. Cartoon Network

    • Cartoon Network is a cable television network. Along with new cartoons, they play old favorites like "Tom and Jerry," "Looney Tunes" and "Garfield and Friends." Cartoon Network also often runs classic marathons on holidays.

    Boomerang

    • Cartoon Network also operates cable television network called Boomerang. Boomerang features old Saturday morning cartoons like "Yogi Bear," "The Pink Panther" and "The Flintstones.”

    YouTube

    • YouTube contains many user-uploaded videos of old Saturday morning cartoons. However, due to copyright concerns, the only episodes that are legal to upload are those that are public domain, due to copyright expiration. Many “Looney Tunes” episodes fall into that category.

    DVD

    • Many classic cartoons are available as DVD volumes. You can buy these compilations by decade. For example, the 1960s set features "Space Ghost," "The Jetsons" and "Magilla Gorilla."

    Videocassettes

    • You may find used videocassettes of old Saturday morning cartoons at yard sales, flea markets or online auction sites. Only buy official compilations, as homemade videocassettes are not legal to sell and are generally not of good quality.
