How to Hook Up Component Cables on a TV With Only Three Inputs

Connecting an electronic device with component output (the red-green-blue-red-white cables) to a TV with composite input (the red-white-yellow cables) involves nothing more than a component-to-composite converter, one set of component cables, and one set of composite cables. Connecting everything is a simple process, but be sure to test the connection for functionality before moving everything back to its normal location.

Turn on the TV and set it to the appropriate input or station for the electronic device. Power on the electronic device and wait a few moments to make sure the connection is functional; when you ascertain that everything is functional, move the TV back to its normal location.
