Suddenlink is a smaller cable company that operates mainly in the following areas: Texas, West Virginia, Louisiana, Arkansas, North Carolina and Oklahoma. Suddenlink is headquartered in St. Louis and employs roughly 5,000 people.
Suddenlink is new to the cable market, starting operations in 2003. Suddenlink started off as Cebridge Connections and changed its name in 2006 after acquiring other smaller cable companies.
Suddenlink provides not only cable services but also high-definition TV services, digital video recorders, video on demand and high-speed Internet service. A home security and WiFi division round out the company. Suddenlink is one of the top 10 Internet providers in the United States.
As of June 2010, Suddenlink has roughly 1.2 million customers, and generates annual revenue around $1.565 billion. Suddenlink has recently spent millions of dollars upgrading its networks and facilities.
