Do titles of a TV shows require quotation marks?

Titles of TV shows do not require quotation marks.

Here's why:

* They are considered proper nouns. Like names of people, places, and organizations, they are capitalized.

* Style guides generally recommend italics for titles of longer works. This includes books, movies, television shows, and albums.

Examples:

* The Office (not "The Office")

* Breaking Bad (not "Breaking Bad")

* Game of Thrones (not "Game of Thrones")

Exceptions:

* Some publications may have their own style guides. Always check the specific guidelines if you are writing for a particular magazine or website.

* If you are writing about a specific episode title, then it should be enclosed in quotation marks. For example: "The Office" episode "Dinner Party."
