Plug the streaming media player's power cord into a wall outlet.
Locate the three VGA outputs on the media player, each of which will be color-coded to match the RCA plugs at the end of the VGA cable. Yellow is for audio, red is for right stereo sound and white is for left stereo sound. Depending on the type of streaming media player you purchased, the inputs will be located on either the back or side of the unit. Insert the three plugs at the end of the VGA cable into their appropriate outputs in the streaming media player.
Locate the VGA inputs on your TV. On most brands of TVs, they can be found on the back near the cable input; newer models might feature them on the front or side. Insert the three plugs at the other end of the VGA cable into the appropriate color-coded inputs on the TV.
Turn on the media player and the TV.
