How to Audition to Be on HGTV's Cash and Cari

The HGTV cable television show "Cash and Cari" features a host, Cari Cucksey, finding hidden treasures in homes and selling these collectibles at an estate sale. Each episode, Cari and her team visit an individual or family home to search for interesting items that may bring in cash. Instructions

    • 1

Visit the HGTV website and locate the "Be on HGTV" page. This page has listings for the HGTV shows seeking guests for upcoming shoots. You will need to click on each link to get more information about who should apply and how to apply.

    • 2

Click "More Info" underneath the section that says "Planning an Estate or Garage Sale? Let Cash and Cari Help." Read the description to determine if you meet the qualifications to be on "Cash and Cari". If you fit the criteria, for example, the show may be seeking those with homes in Michigan, where Cari Cucksey is based, you should pursue applying for the show.

    • 3

Email [email protected] with your contact information and a list of items you plan to sell. If there is a name or phone number listed, you can also call the contact with your information. Provide information about yourself and why you want to appear on the show. Although this is not required, it may give you an edge over others who merely send the required information.

    • 4

Upload photos of your collectible items for sale on the HGTV website. Though you may never hear back from HGTV about appearing on the show, or the show does not choose you to appear, you may have the opportunity to have Cari appraise your items via photo.
