Remove the back panel off of the LCD computer monitor by unscrewing the screws. Unscrew the control box, monitor connection jack and power cord connection socket from the back panel. Remove all of the layers of plastic sheeting over the back of the LCD screen.
Set up the overhead projector on a table or cart in the room where you want the projector. Turn it so the overhead projector faces a white wall or white sheet hung on a wall.
Place the dissembled LCD monitor screen panel on top of the glass pallet plate of the overhead projector. Tape the computer monitor jack component, control switches and the power connector socket to the side of the overhead projector. Make sure the pieces are securely connected to the LCD monitor screen panel on the overhead.
Set the computer near the overhead projector, and connect the 15-pin, D-shaped monitor connecting cable to the LCD monitor input jack taped to the side of the overhead projector. There is only one input jack the cable fits in, so it's easily found. Next, connect the end of the cable to the computer's monitor output jack.
Plug in the overhead projector, computer and LCD monitor's power cord to the power outlet. Turn on the power to all the devices.
Adjust the focus on the overhead projector by turning the knob on the vertical arm of the overhead projector until the image comes into focus. The LCD monitor panel automatically recognizes the monitor signal coming from your computer. The LCD computer monitor projects the image through the overhead projector onto the wall. When you first turn everything on, you see what is showing on your computer screen. Turn on any movie or presentation, and start enjoying your LCD panel projector.
