Are the anead Iliad and oddesy same story?

The Iliad and the Odyssey are two of the most influential works of literature in Western history. Both are epic poems attributed to Homer, a legendary Greek poet who lived sometime in the 8th or 7th century BCE. While both poems are set during the Trojan War, they are not the same story.

The Iliad tells the story of the last few days of the Trojan War, focusing on the conflict between Achilles and Agamemnon, two of the greatest Greek warriors. The poem begins with Achilles refusing to fight after Agamemnon takes away his prize of war, Briseis. Achilles' anger has devastating consequences for the Greeks, as they suffer defeat after defeat at the hands of the Trojans. Finally, Achilles relents and returns to battle, killing the Trojan prince Hector in revenge for the death of his friend Patroclus. The poem ends with the funeral of Hector.

The Odyssey tells the story of Odysseus' ten-year journey home after the fall of Troy. Odysseus faces many challenges on his journey, including storms, monsters, and the temptation of the goddess Calypso. He eventually returns home to Ithaca, where he is reunited with his wife, Penelope, and defeats her suitors.

While both the Iliad and the Odyssey are set during the Trojan War, they are two distinct stories with different characters and plotlines.
