Who were the survivors of Trojan War?

The Trojan War saw massive loss of life on both sides. It's difficult to say definitively who were the "survivors" in the sense of being untouched by tragedy. Even those who escaped the battlefields likely faced loss and hardship.

However, we can list some figures known to have survived the war:

Greek Side:

* Aeneas: Trojan prince who fled the city with his father Anchises and son Ascanius. He's a pivotal figure in Roman mythology.

* Odysseus: King of Ithaca, known for his cunning and long journey home. His journey was depicted in Homer's epic poem, *The Odyssey*.

* Nestor: King of Pylos, known for his wisdom and experience. He was one of the oldest and most respected leaders in the Greek army.

* Diomedes: Heroic king of Argos, renowned for his bravery and skill in battle.

* Menelaus: King of Sparta, whose abduction of Helen triggered the Trojan War.

* Agamemnon: King of Mycenae, the leader of the Greek forces. He returned home only to be murdered by his wife Clytemnestra.

* Ajax the Greater: One of the greatest Greek warriors, known for his strength and resilience. He committed suicide after losing the contest for Achilles' armor.

* Ajax the Lesser: Another Greek hero, known for his speed and agility. He was killed by Hector during the Trojan War.

Trojan Side:

* Helenus: Son of Priam, known for his prophetic abilities. He was taken prisoner by the Greeks.

* Cassandra: Daughter of Priam, known for her prophecies, but cursed to never be believed. She was taken captive by the Greeks.

* Andromache: Wife of Hector, who lost her husband and son in the war.

* Hecuba: Queen of Troy, who lost her husband and many sons in the war.

* Astyanax: Son of Hector and Andromache, killed by the Greeks after the fall of Troy.

It's important to note that this list is not exhaustive. There were many other individuals who survived the war, both named and unnamed. Many were enslaved, and countless others faced the challenges of rebuilding their lives in a world forever scarred by the conflict. The war was a defining moment in Greek mythology and literature, and its impact on those who lived through it was profound.
