How to Make Callbacks

Caller ID allows you to see the name and phone number of the person who just rang whether you accepted or missed the call. Because some landline phones don't have caller ID, phone companies provide a service allowing you to dial back the last person who called. Some phone companies immediately connect you to the previous caller, while other companies inform you of the name and phone number of the caller and then ask if you would like to be connected.

Instructions

    • 1

Pick up the receiver or press the "Talk" key on your phone. Wait for the the dial tone.

    • 2

Press "*69." The "star" key is located to the left of the "0" on the bottom of your dial pad.

    • 3

Press "1" to connect the call. The phone number, name, time and date of the person you called will be voiced back to you. If you don't wish to complete the call, simply hang up.
