How to Be Cast on ABC's Wipeout

Virtually everything about the ABC show "Wipeout" looks like something most of us first saw in a comedy show called "MXE" or "Most Extreme Elimination." That aside, the show had its debut in 2008, and was still in production as of 2011. Would-be contestants in a hurry to get physically challenged by the game's pratfall gags need to apply through the ABC website.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the ABC-TV website and scroll to the bottom of the home page. Click on the "Casting" link.

    • 2

Follow the link until you see a link to "Wipeout." As of 2011, when "Wipeout" was seeking contestants for its fifth season, contestants had to be at least 18, legal residents of the United States, and must be able to swim.

Fill out a full application at the website link listed on the ABC site. (The link goes to a production company separate from ABC.). You must upload a photo with the application. Once the casting team goes through the email requests, those being considered will receive confirmation for an interview day and time.

"Wipeout" also holds some open casting calls. Check the website for any upcoming dates. People attending the open casting call must bring a driver's license and a health insurance card.

Contestants asked for more information must submit a "creative" application that consists of 10 pages of questions about your educational background, marital status, interest in a variety of sports, physical health, and whether you've ever been charged with a crime. It also asks you to describe the most daring or dangerous thing you've ever done.
