Download an application off of the CBS Survivor official website (see Resources section below). Review the eligibility requirements. Keep in mind that if you have applied to be on the show before and were a finalist in Los Angeles, you are not eligible to apply for the next season.
Interview to be a contestant. Respond to the notification you receive from the show producers inviting you to an interview at one of the following locations: Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Atlanta, Seattle, Denver Chicago, Miami, Dallas or Detroit. Appear at the interview in person and respond to questions the producers ask you. Bring identification to confirm that you are at least 18 years old, are a U.S. citizen, have a valid U.S. passport and are in excellent mental and physical condition. Note that if you reside in Alabama, Nebraska or Wyoming you will need to show proof that you are at least 19 years old. If you live in the District of Columbia or Mississippi you will need to show proof that you are at least 21 years old.
Highlight your strong points. Demonstrate to the show's producers that you are adventurous, outgoing, strong-willed, physically fit, mentally strong, flexible and adaptable. Be prepared to be televised for 24 hours a day during the taping of the show.
Answer open calls. Visit the CBS Survivor official website (see resources). Note the next Survivor open call location, date and time. Bring a copy of your submitted application with you to the open call. Present identification and age proof as required.
