Instructions

    • 1

Come up with a premise for a TV show. Decide how many actors will appear in it. Develop a script for each actor and approve it with other members of the team. Knowing what each person should say and when they should say it will make the video capture process much smoother and quicker. Develop cue cards to help actors who are struggling with their lines. This will limit the amount of time spent locating their lines in the scripts. All actors should be familiar with their scripts. Everyone should rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. Professionalism is key to being taken seriously as a producer/director/actor. Work out other details such as when the show will be posted, and if possible, delegate responsibilities to other members of the production team.

Use the portable, digital camera to capture lots of video. When it is time to edit, it is essential to the outcome of the show to have extra footage to choose from. The portable camera will make it much easier to shoot scenes in other locations. Capture multiple takes of scenes as well. Do not delete any footage until the editing process is completed.

    • 3

Purchase editing software which will be used to delete wasteful scenes and bring together pieces of footage. Are there other things you want to add, like credits, special effects or music? Now is the time, to do so. After deleting footage of forgotten lines, adding the extras beyond the acting and shrinking the TV show to meet your time frame, it is ready to be posted to YouTube for all the world to see.
