How to Play a Non-Region DVD

Most DVDs are coded to play in a specific region in the world. Almost all DVDs fall into Regions 1-6. Region 1 discs are used in the United States and Canada, Region 2 for Europe and so on. So, a Region 1 disc will play only on a Region 1 player. However, some manufacturers make Region 0 discs, which can play on any type of DVD player. These discs are uncoded and unrestricted. However, if you use an NTSC player, as most Americans do, the Region 0 disc must be an NTSC disc while users of PAL conversion must use Region 0 PAL discs.
