Choose the celebrity you plan to write about. Title your paper with something interesting based on the person's life or simply their name; for example, "Johnny Depp Sails Again" or "Meet Margaret Mead." Give some thought to the major points you want to include in your paper.
Create a rough outline listing the key points and facts you plan to cover, such as biographical information and why the person made history. Focus in on one element of a celeb's life, such the type of car a famous racer drives when not working or what other artists a famous artist appreciates.
Write the paper to elaborate on your outline. Research the details online, in books and magazines. Be careful when culling information from user-generated fact sites, since these are not always accurate. Books written by celebrities themselves usually will yield more factual information. Goldie Hawn's book "A Lotus Grows in the Mud," for example, will give you much more insight into the woman she truly is as opposed to what you will find on a gossip magazine or tabloid.
Organize your paper in sequential order according to either a timeline or the priorities you want to share. Write the details you find, keeping track of sources so you can list them later. Add interesting components you find from your research such as hobbies, how the person got started in his field, what languages she speaks, or what the next movie is that he will star in. Look up the awards your chosen celebrity has received, and read biographies about her life. Celebrity bios are often written by publicists and managers, so the information is what they are glad to share with the public.
Contact the celebrity's personal manager, publisher, sports team or agent to ask for a personal interview. It may be unlikely that anyone will answer your questions, but you can at the least ask someone to validate your facts. Don't lose heart if you can't get through, as most celebrities have screening mechanisms in place.
Compose a final draft of your paper by pulling together all the details of each item in your outline into paragraph form. Finish the draft, read it again to see if everything makes sense. Spell check and proof. Add your list of references to the end, and make a copy before submitting your paper.
