When did the last cheetah of Weissmuller Tarzan movies die?

There was never a cheetah featured in the Weissmuller Tarzan movies. Cheeta was the name given to a male chimpanzee in the series, though he was played by a female chimp in the last film, Tarzan and the Mermaids (1948).
