Build your Netflix queue. Netflix recommends you have at least six DVDs in your queue at one time in case DVDs are unavailable, so they can send you the next on your list. Set up your queue for at least two weeks of entertainment. If you watch movies upon arrival it takes two to three days to get the next. Make sure you put the DVDs in the mail as soon as possible.
Set up your Netflix instant queue. Sure, you can flip through the titles on the screen until you find something interesting, but if you line up movies you wish to watch you can go to your instant queue on the television or computer and quickly watch whatever is next.
Place the movies that will "expire" at the top of your queue so you remember to watch them. The date is listed on the far right of the screen on the computer or under the movie's photo on the television. The date will only appear if it's two weeks or less before Netflix removes the item.
Add new release movies to your DVD queue in case you forget when they come out. Click "Save" and Netflix will remind you when these movies are available on DVD. If you want new releases as soon as possible, you must have these at the top of your queue. Set them in these positions a couple of days before their release; this will appear on the far right side of the screen. That way you are the first in line to get the movies and do not have to wait as long.
Set up your Netflix account on up to five devices. You can use Netflix with PlayStation 3, Xbox, Wii and a variety of other devices. If you have Netflix on every TV in your house, you can make the most of your Netflix account.
