Download the free Pivot Stickfigure Animation software. You can find it on Snap Files (see "References"). Open the setup file where it was downloaded and follow the instructions on the installation screen.
Open the Stickfigure Animation software on your computer. You should see a stick figure on the screen with red dots on his body and options on the left.
Click on "File," then "Load Figure Type" in order to add other figures to the movie. Add figures by clicking the drop down menu on the left that says, "Stickman," choosing a figure and then clicking the "Add Figure" button.
Move the figures into a starting position for the movie. Do this by clicking the middle dot (it's orange) and dragging the figure to the starting position. Use the red dots to move his body around to get him into the proper stance.
Click on "Next Frame" to add a new frame to the image. Slightly move the characters joints in order to get them to begin moving when you play the movie back. They should only be moved slightly to make the movements more realistic.
Play the image to see if the image looks right as it moves. This will help to make it easier to fix mistakes in the frame before it's too late.
Repeat the step above until the animation is complete. Save the animation as either a .gif or .piv file. Convert the file into a movie format.
Open the file in a movie editing program like Windows Movie Maker. Add audio, effects (like scene transitions) and even credits.
Save your file and upload your stick figure movie to the Internet in order to share it with friends.
