Twilight Movie Party Ideas

Twilight is a vampire romance that has captured the imagination of a generation. The romance between Bella Swann and vampire Edward Cullen is a love story that portrays both the power of love and the vulnerability of Bella as a human. A number of ideas are available for you to create the optimal atmosphere before inviting your friends for a Twilight movie party.
  1. Atmosphere

    • All parties need the right atmosphere and a Twilight movie party is no exception. Mood lighting is a good idea, as not only does the dark help you focus on the television, we all know vampires are averse to daylight!

Candles and white twinkle lights spread around the room can add a nice effect. The predominant color scheme featured on Twilight movie and book covers is black and red, try and simulate this in your movie party room with cushions or decorations in these colors. The visual effect will be fun and enjoyable for you and your guests.

    Menu

    • Candy bags of blood, and candy vampire teeth are fun foods to leave out as snacks for guests. Red apples are also featured on Twilight movie and book covers and a bowl of them can be a fun centerpiece and snack for party guests.

For the main course, Italian food is a fun meal. Bella orders mushroom ravioli when eating on her Port Angeles date with Edward, and the Cullen family cooked an Italian meal to welcome Bella on her first visit to their home.

The hostess blog suggests framing quotes such as the line spoken by Esme, Edward Cullen’s mother, “we are making Italiano for you Bella.” Red wine can be a blood-themed beverage and how about a dessert named after the cast--Cullen cupcakes or chocolate Bella bars.

    Games

    • Before the Twilight movie, your guests can socialize and participate in some fun games. You could even separate into teams. Team Edward versus Team Jacob was a marketing theme of the second movie and is a fun idea. A trivia quiz, or a name-that-quote game, where quotes are read from the book and guests guess the character who said it, are options. Bonus points can be awarded for naming which book or where the quote occurred. Reading a passage from the book and having the guests guess Edward’s constantly changing eye color is another fun idea.
