How to Upload Amateur Movies

Before uploading amateur movies to video sharing sites such as YouTube, the movies must be in digital format. If the movies are in analog format, use software such as Sony Vegas to convert the taped movie data to a digital file. To upload amateur movies to video upload sites, the size and length of the video, as well as the video file type, must be in compliance with the site's standards. For instance, YouTube videos must be less than 2 GB, and no longer than 10 minutes. YouTube supports most common video file types such as AVI, WMV, FLV and MOV.
