Create a conceptual overview of the Christian comedy video you want to make. Download a blank storyboard (see Resources.) Write in with the camera shots you will use and the audio information you will be using for each shot. Write a script of the exact dialogue each actor says for comedic skits.
Determine the type of equipment to use. Obtain consumer equipment if the video is for a few friends. A video camera can be purchased used on auction sites like Ebay or new in larger retail stores. Use higher end equipment if the video will be viewed by a larger audience such as through a Christian TV broadcast. Inquire about utilizing equipment from one of the larger churches who have their own video and broadcasting studios. Ask the local access department of your cable TV stations if they let people use their equipment. Some do.
Shoot the video. Set the video camera settings. Automatic settings can work well. Keep the subject well lit. If you are shooting a Christian comic, use a stable tripod and keep the subject centered. Stand up comedy videos can work well when the Christian comic is in front of a brick wall (see Resources.)
Edit the video. A free editing software program comes as part of the standard "Windows live" software package. Download Windows MovieMaker from the Microsoft site.
