AMC Showplace Vernon Hills 8 is at 555 North Lakeview Parkway in Vernon Hills, three miles from Buffalo Grove. As of 2011, tickets cost $8, or $6 for seniors, children and matinee sessions. A $3 charge is added to 3-D tickets.
Schaumburg, nine miles from Buffalo Grove, has the AMC Loews Streets of Woodfield 20 at 601 North Martingale Road. Tickets cost $10, $9 for seniors, $7 for children, and $8 for matinees. RealD 3-D Experience tickets cost $3 extra. It also has an IMAX. Tickets cost $5 extra for an IMAX 3-D film. The Woodfield participates in AMC's "A.M. Cinema" promotion, which means discount tickets for any first-run movies shown before noon.
