Can you get into a PG 13 movie if under 13?

In the United States, children under the age of 13 may be admitted to PG-13 movies provided they are accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. This is due to the fact that PG-13 movies may contain some material that is considered inappropriate for children under 13 years of age, such as violence, profanity, sexual themes, or drug use. Therefore, the presence of an accompanying adult is deemed necessary to ensure that the child does not encounter or is negatively affected by such content.
