Is Ian Anderson a jazz flute player?

Ian Anderson is not primarily known as a jazz flute player. He is best known as the frontman of the progressive rock band Jethro Tull, where he plays the flute and sings. Although Anderson has incorporated jazz influences into his music, he is not considered to be a jazz musician in the traditional sense.
