What was first movie appearance?

The Lumière brothers' Cinématographe was first used publicly on December 28, 1895, at the Grand Café in Paris, France. The first film to be shown was "La Sortie de l'Usine Lumière à Lyon" ("Workers Leaving the Lumière Factory in Lyon"), which depicted workers leaving the Lumière factory. This film was only 50 seconds long, but it represented a major breakthrough in the history of cinema.
