How do you quote movie titles?

Movie titles should be quoted using the appropriate font. In print publications, they are placed in italics. Here are a few examples:

The Lord of the Rings (2001)

Toy Story 4 (2019)

For handwritten or typewritten material, use quotation marks instead:

"The Lord of the Rings" (2001)

"Toy Story 4" (2019)

Some style guides also recommend capitalizing all major words in movie titles, except conjunctions, articles, and prepositions. According to this rule, the examples from above would look like this:

The Lord of the Rings (2001)

Toy Story 4 (2019)
