Is there going to be a subtle knife film?

Yes, there are plans to adapt Philip Pullman's novel "The Subtle Knife" into a film. The film will be part of a trilogy that will also include adaptations of "The Golden Compass" and "The Amber Spyglass." The production company New Line Cinema acquired the rights to the trilogy in 2018. Tom Hooper, who previously directed "The King's Speech," is attached to direct the films. The release dates for the films have yet to be announced.
