Purchase a metal equipment-hanging bracket. This can be found in a hardware store for less than $5, and is used for holding items like bikes and kayaks. Use a drill to make two holes 1 inch apart on each side of the metal bracket. Make sure they are level with each other. Put a nut and screw through the second hole in the bracket on the top side.
Screw the lowel link into the top of the bracket. On the lowel link, there will be a center hole through which you screw it into the first hole of the bracket.
Attach the ball mount of the mini tripod to the center hole of lowel link. The mini tripod can be bought through amazon or eBay for no more than $10.
Mount the tripod head on the top of the bracket, on the second hole. It will twist onto the screw you placed into the bracket in Step 1. You can get a tripod head from a thrift store.
Add the counterweight. Use a 1-1/2-inch screw in the second hole on the bottom of the bracket. Add on two 1-1/2-inch washers and a nut. Add on the side counterweight with a 5/8-inch stud on the right side of the lowel link
