Instructions

  1. Making a Video

    • 1

Determine the concept and setting for your music video. Take any possible production limitations into consideration when deciding where and what you will be filming.

    • 2

Play your original music aloud using an audio playback device such as a portable stereo.

    • 3

Record your band re-enacting playing or singing along to your music. Use the original music playing aloud as a timing reference.

    • 4

Open a new session in your video editing software and load your video footage into its own channel or track. Load your original music into its own separate channel or track as well.

    • 5

Mute or delete any audio associated with the video footage. Leave only your original music in its own track.

    • 6

Align the video and audio tracks by sliding them forward and backward in their channels until they sync as desired.

    • 7

Export or mixdown the session into a video file.
