How much did tickets cost at the globe?

In Shakespeare's time, the Globe Theatre in London charged different prices for admission, with the most expensive seats costing one penny (or 12 pence). The cheapest seats, which were located in the "yard" or "pit" of the theatre, cost only one halfpenny (or 6 pence). These prices were relatively affordable for the time, and allowed people from all walks of life to attend the theatre.
