Cut nylon rope into three pieces so that there are two pieces measuring about 6 inches and length and a third long piece of rope measuring about 3 to 4 feet in length.
Loop the short pieces of rope around the long piece of rope, splitting the long rope into three even pieces. The end of the short rope and the three ends should all meet evenly in your hands. The two short rope are looped and folded and act like handles for this step.
Take one end of ropes and tie in a simple around and under knot. Ensure that all three ends of rope the two short tips and the one long are caught up in the note. Repeat for other end of rope. The idea is to conceal the loop made by the shorter rope.
Untie the knot on one end of the rope checking that you have a loop of rope and one free end of rope in your hands.
Allow the free end of the rope to fall from your grasp as you conceal the looped rope from the audience in the palm of your hand.
Tie the two loop ends together around the longer rope. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 on the other loop of rope.
Wrap the long rope around your hand and the loops of rope will slide off as you do. When you unravel the rope and hold it up for the audience they will only see the long rope. The two short pieces will be held in the palm of your hand.
