How to Pop Off a Beer Bottle Bottom

You can pop the bottom right off of a beer bottle with nothing more than some water and your own two hands. It's a popular trick for frat parties and other gatherings of enthusiastic beer drinkers. The stunt depends on the concentrated force of a rapidly moving fluid. You must be careful, though. You will be dealing with broken glass and impaired senses (if you've been drinking the beer).

Things You'll Need

• Empty beer bottle
• Water
• Bucket

     Fit a bucket or garbage can with a plastic liner to catch glass breaking off the bottle.

     Fill the beer bottle with water to a level two inches below the opening.

   • 3

     Hold the bottle upright over the garbage can or bucket with one hand.

   • 4

     Smack the bottle opening sharply with the palm of your other hand. The bottom of the bottle should come off with a rush of water behind it.
