Masuda Method
The Masuda Method is a breeding method that increases the chance of hatching a shiny Pokémon. To use this method, you need to breed Pokémon from two different regions of the world. For example, you could breed a Pokémon from Japan with a Pokémon from the United States. The more times you breed Pokémon from different regions, the higher your chances of hatching a shiny Pokémon.
Shiny Charm
The Shiny Charm is a key item that increases the chance of encountering a shiny Pokémon. You can obtain the Shiny Charm by completing the Sinnoh Pokédex.
Chain Method
The Chain Method is a method that involves defeating or capturing a series of the same Pokémon in a row. The more Pokémon you defeat or capture in a row, the higher your chances of encountering a shiny Pokémon.
Soft Reset Method
The Soft Reset Method is a method that involves resetting the game before an encounter with a Pokémon. To do this, you need to press the L+R+Start+Select buttons at the same time. This will reset the game and bring you back to the title screen. You can then reload the game and try again to encounter the Pokémon.
DexNav Method
The DexNav Method is a method that involves using the DexNav to search for Pokémon. To use this method, you need to have defeated the Elite Four and obtained the National Pokédex. Once you have the National Pokédex, you can use the DexNav to search for Pokémon in the wild. If you find a Pokémon with a yellow exclamation point, it is a shiny Pokémon.
Note: The DexNav method is only available in the Pokemon Platinum version of the game.
