What did the Huns use for horse tack?
The Huns' horse tack consisted of a leather or felt saddle with a tree made of wood, bone or antler. The saddle might have a high cantle at the rear, and a pommel at the front, and would be secured with a girth. Stirrups were not utilized. Stirrup-like devices that were used may have been more like toe loops. The Huns are believed to have been the first to invent horseshoes.
