You don't get to choose to be Chikorita at the beginning of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team.

The game starts with a personality quiz, and your chosen Pokemon is determined based on your answers. There are several possible starter Pokemon, including:

* Pikachu

* Cyndaquil

* Mudkip

* Treeko

Chikorita is not one of the starter Pokemon in Blue Rescue Team. However, you might encounter a Chikorita later in the game, possibly as a partner or through other means.
