How did Dracula fly?

Dracula, as portrayed in Bram Stoker's novel, doesn't actually fly. He moves with supernatural speed and agility, but his primary mode of transportation is turning into a bat.

Here's how it's described in the book:

* Transforming: Dracula is able to transform into a bat at will. He uses this ability to enter and leave locations, travel long distances, and even infiltrate places like Mina's bedroom.

* Bat Flight: He uses the bat's natural flight to travel, but it's never explicitly stated he can fly independently, like a supernatural being.

In popular culture, Dracula's flight has been depicted in different ways:

* Cloak: Sometimes he is shown with a cloak that allows him to glide or even fly.

* Supernatural ability: In some versions, he is given the power to fly independently, without any form of transformation.

However, the original novel sticks to the bat transformation as the primary explanation for his ability to move about freely.
