Does the damage of a pokemon move become half in double battle?

In a regular double battle in the Pokémon games, moves do not deal half damage. They maintain their power regardless.

Certain abilities such as Electric Surge, Misty Terrain, and Grassy Terrain affect the type damage that will be taken in the next move if that type of terrain was created.
