Do the butler and girl ghost in old chateau on Pokemon diamond stick around?

The butler and the girl ghost do not stick around in the Old Chateau in Pokemon Diamond. Both disappear after the player character finds the Secret Key and unlocks the door on the third floor of the mansion.
