How does the show Mythbusters get their myths to test?

The show Mythbusters receives myths to test from a variety of sources, including:

* Viewers: Viewers can submit myth ideas through the show's website or social media pages.

* Scientists: Scientists can also submit myth ideas, either directly to the show or through academic journals.

* News articles: The show often gets myth ideas from news articles about strange or unusual events.

* Books: The show also sometimes gets myth ideas from books, both fiction and nonfiction.

Once the show has received a myth idea, it will do some research to see if there is any scientific evidence to support it. If there is, the show will then design an experiment to test the myth.

The Mythbusters have a team of experts who help them design and conduct their experiments. These experts include:

* MythBusters hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman

* Build team members Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and Grant Imahara

* Special effects expert Scott Chapman

* Science advisor Dr. Robert Post

The Mythbusters also frequently consult with other experts, such as engineers, physicists, and chemists.

Once the experiment has been designed, the Mythbusters will film it and then air it on television.
