Why did Orlando Bloom have to learn how shoot a bow and arrow for Lord of the Rings if most arrows are cgi?

This is incorrect. Orlando Bloom used a real bow and arrows for the Lord of the Rings trilogy. No CGI was used for the archery sequences.
