What happened to violet in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book?

Violet Beauregarde, one of the children visiting Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, chews a piece of experimental chewing gum that transforms her into a giant blueberry. This happens because the gum was meant to taste like a three-course meal, but wasn't quite perfected yet.

It's important to note that unlike the movie, which shows her as a giant blueberry, the book describes her skin turning blue and becoming round and plump, resembling a blueberry. She is taken away in a giant wheelbarrow to be "un-blueberried," and her fate is left ambiguous.
