Where do the high elves in lord of rings live?

The High Elves in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings live in two primary locations:

* Valinor: This is their homeland in the Undying Lands, across the sea from Middle-earth. The High Elves, also known as the Eldar, were originally created in Valinor by the Valar, the angelic beings who shaped the world.

* Lórien (also known as Lothlórien): This is a forested realm in Middle-earth, ruled by the Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn. It's the only place in Middle-earth where a significant number of High Elves still reside.

It's important to note that:

* The High Elves are a dwindling population in Middle-earth. Most have sailed West to Valinor, leaving only a few, like Galadriel and Celeborn, behind.

* Other High Elf settlements exist in Middle-earth but are smaller. For example, the Lindon kingdom ruled by Elrond is home to a significant number of High Elves, but it is not considered a primary residence.

Overall, the High Elves' presence in Middle-earth is a reminder of their ancient connection to the world and their eventual departure for their ultimate home, Valinor.
