Who are the five wizards from The Lord of Rings?

It's tricky to definitively say "the five wizards" from The Lord of the Rings because there are more than five wizards who appear in the books. However, the most common interpretation of the "five wizards" refers to the Istari, the five wizards sent to Middle-earth by the Valar to oppose Sauron.

These are:

1. Gandalf the Grey (later Gandalf the White): The most prominent wizard in the story.

2. Saruman the White (later Saruman of Many Colours): Once the leader of the Istari, he fell to the lure of power and became Sauron's ally.

3. Radagast the Brown: A nature-loving wizard who focuses on the natural world.

4. Alatar and Pallando: These two wizards, known as the Blue Wizards, are only briefly mentioned in the books and their fates are unknown. They are believed to have traveled eastward, perhaps to influence the East against Sauron.

There are other wizards mentioned in Tolkien's works, like the Necromancer of Dol Guldur (who is later revealed to be Sauron), but the five listed above are the ones most commonly considered the Istari.
