Background:
- In 2005, Deuce (Aron Erlichman) and J-Dog (Jorel Decker) were friends and aspiring musicians in Los Angeles.
- Deuce was performing under the name "Tha Producer," and J-Dog was involved in the music industry as well.
2005:
- Deuce and J-Dog met with Charlie Scene (Jordon Terrell) and Funny Man (Dylan Alvarez) through mutual connections in the local music scene.
- They started collaborating on music together and formed the initial core of the group.
2006:
- The group was joined by Da Kurlzz (Matthew Busek) and Johnny 3 Tears (George Ragan), who were friends of Charlie Scene.
- They began writing and recording songs, and the band started to take shape.
2007:
- Hollywood Undead officially formed as a full group, with each member adopting a unique stage persona and mask.
- They released their debut self-titled album, "Hollywood Undead," in September of that year.
2009:
- After some internal conflicts, Deuce left Hollywood Undead, and Danny Murillo joined as the new lead singer.
- Danny was brought into the band by J-Dog, who knew him from their previous collaborations in the music industry.
Late 2000s and Beyond:
- Danny integrated seamlessly with the band, and together they continued to record, release music, and tour.
- Over the years, Hollywood Undead underwent some lineup changes, but the core members remain actively performing together.
Note:
While Danny Murillo officially joined Hollywood Undead in 2009, the band had established their identity and developed their sound in the years before his arrival. Thus, it was a collective effort and combination of circumstances that led to the formation of Hollywood Undead.
