How does Frankenstein react to dream or goal?
In Frankenstein, the title character Victor Frankenstein reacts to his dreams and goals with both excitement and trepidation. At the beginning of the novel, Frankenstein dreams of constructing a living creature that defies the laws of nature. While this fills him with joy and passion, he is worried about what might happen if the creature goes too far in the future. When Frankenstein achieves his objective and the creature is given life, he expresses awe in the fact that his project was successful against everything expectation however this swiftly gave way to horror and remorse as the being becomes a danger. Frankenstein becomes conflicted in this instance by desire to achieve his ambition and by worries about the possible moral and ethical ramification his goals.
