Mystical Space Typhoon does not negate Polymerization. Mystical Space Typhoon's effect is to destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field. Polymerization is a Spell Card, so Mystical Space Typhoon can destroy it. However, Mystical Space Typhoon does not negate the effects of Polymerization. This means that if Polymerization is activated and a Fusion Monster is Summoned, Mystical Space Typhoon will not be able to destroy the Fusion Monster.
